It’s the beginning of the week, and you’ve got a mountain of emails waiting for you, plus a week’s worth of errands to run and you’re still juuust waking up. Ugh! Early To Bed, Early To Rise
If you’re dreading waking up on Monday morning, try getting to bed early the night before. Even an extra 30 minutes of deep sleep will do wonders for your brain and your bod the next day. To start your week off right, get to bed early Sunday night and wake up early enough to give your brain a little warm-up time.
Make A Plan
Stressed about the day ahead? Take charge of your day and make a to-do list on Friday afternoon before you leave the office for the weekend. Formulating a game plan for the week ahead will help you attack that to-do list and ensure that you won’t let any little project or memo slip through the cracks! Review your to-do list Sunday night before bed, so it’ll be fresh on your mind when you wake up. Walk into work confident about what you need to get done and don’t get bogged down with the usual mundane beginning-of-the-week tasks.
Give Yourself Something To Look Forward To
Set up a couple little treats for yourself to look forward to when you wake up. Pack yourself a delicious lunch. Lay out a killer outfit the night before. Set your coffee maker to brew your favorite roast, and set out a packet of your favorite mix-in (my go-to is the Primal Kitchen Chocolate Coconut Collagen Fuel ($31.46 for a pack of 12) featured in the July’s Bless Box. Whatever it is, plan a little reward for yourself.
Bless Someone Else’s Day
One of the best ways to feel better is to make someone else feel good! Why not bless it forward and brighten your co-worker’s, boss’s or BFF’s day? Your good deed could be as simple as complimenting a co-worker or spending a little extra time with a customer, or you could bring in doughnuts for the whole office. It’s up to you!
Make Post-Work Plans
Your day shouldn’t just be about trudging through Monday to get it over with! Give yourself something to look forward to after your work is done. Go out to dinner with friends, plan a date night, take your dog to the dog park, or cook your favorite dinner. Monday doesn’t have to be all about work, and it definitely doesn’t have to be a drag.
