True story: yesterday our driver had to take a short-cut detour to get us to the globes and guess what street he decided to drive through? The first street I ever lived on when I moved to L.A! I actually got teary because I haven’t driven passed it in years and God reminded me how far I’ve come and how far I have yet to go! That good old apartment tho ya’ll 😭 The place where I shed so many homesick tears and experienced so many setbacks and doors slamming in my face. The place where I also decided to own it and figure out a way to pave my own career path & build my own door! 6 years later (and so many all nighters later lol) here I am all dressed up for the Golden Globes having my little moment with @lorealhair Elvive fam 💁🏻‍♀️ Here to tell you sister that I’m so happy I chose the risky path for my life instead of the safe path. That I never gave up. That I never quit or waited around. Life is about taking risks and going after what sets your heart on fire while understanding there are no short cuts (or quick detours 😉) to success. Take it from me when I say success doesn’t happen overnight but YES you can achieve it if you’re willing to fight/work hard for it. I wish someone told me that on those hard days when I felt defeated. If you were looking for a sign today – there it is. As seen at Saint Laurent and Maison Margiela.

If you’re looking to add a little old Hollywood glamour to your wardrobe, look no further. Gowns, skirts, blouses and even boots trimmed in marabou and ostrich feathers make for a flirty look ready to take flight.

As seen at Victoria Beckham and Erdem.

Every season has one it color and this year that honor belongs to the color lavender. The shade of purple popped up everywhere, from runways to Sazan’s instagram! Invest in a head-to-toe lavender look for a punch of color. If you want to play with the trend (without going head over heels) invest in statement piece. That way you can incorporate the color into your existing wardrobe and get maximum wear out of your new purchase.

White Suiting

As seen at Acne Studios and Jill Sander.

Sharp tailoring never goes out of style and this season white suits are all the rage. A crisp and elegant alternative to a more formal evening dress, a white suit is a fab way to elevate your fashion game. You can go head-to-toe white (très chic!) or invest in a sharp white blazer to pair with your favorite pair of jeans. Swap your sneakers for your favorite heels, and you’ll have a look that will take you from day to evening.

Black & White Polka Dots

As seen at Jason Wu and Rodarte.

If you’re a minimalist and prefer a monochrome look, it can be soooo easy to get stuck in a style rut. Black and white polka dots popped up on the runways this season on everything from dresses and skirts to blouses and handbags. It doesn’t matter if you go for big or small polka dots. This trend is a super fun way to add some interest to a monochrome look.

Square Necklines

As seen at Christian Dior and Hérmes.

An interesting neckline can be such a stylish (and easy) way to elevate an outfit. A square neckline on a sexy cocktail dress or a simple blouse is the perfect way to show a bit of skin without going over the top.

Puffed Shoulders

As seen at Isabel Marant and Gucci.

The 80’s are calling! Puffed shoulders are making a major comeback. If you’re game and want to try out the trend, turn up the volume. Go for sky-high puffed sleeves, or take it down a notch with a delicately puffed off-the-shoulder sundress like Saz’s.

As seen at Dolce & Gabanna and House of Holland.

Sure, the rainbow brite look might be a bit out there. But this trend can be wearable without veering into costume territory. Go bold and beautiful with stripes of vibrant colors head-to-toe (as seen at Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini). For a calmer take on the trend, keep the rainbow hues to one piece (like Saz’s rainbow blouse) and balance out your look with a solid colored bottom and minimal accessories.
