Bless Self-Care Checklist

Self-care is an incredibly important part of your wellness! From a simple skincare routine to taking time to care for your mental-health, sticking to a self-care practice even when things get difficult, will help you in countless ways! Now that we’re practicing social distancing, it’s even more important to do the little (and big) things to care for yourself. Here are a few of our favorite ways to maintain self-care from your home.

Schedule  A Wake-Up Time

It might be tempting to sleep in every day, but don’t do it! Scheduling a wake-up time helps structure your day and set a routine.

Take 5 Mins To Journal (At Least)

Record your thoughts and clear your mental space! We love our Intelligent Change 5 Minute Journal as a helpful guide if you don’t know where to start.

Do 30 Mins Of Exercise

Move your body every day! As tempting as it is to stay cozy, a little bit of sweat will help you stay healthy. Need a little help? Try downloading a fitness app to keep you accountable!

Listen To A Podcast

There are so many podcasts out there, it can be hard to choose! We recommend taking this time to learn something new, get some outside perspective, or deep dive into something you’ve always been interested in!

Make A FaceTime Date

You don’t have to be face-to-face to connect! Part of self-care is keeping healthy, positive relationships in your life. Text your bestie and have a catch-up over a cup of coffee!

Do A FaceMask

Invest some time into your skincare routine! A good facemask is a perfect addition to your skincare routine that you can do anytime! Our current favorite is MidFlower’s Rose Damascena BioCellulose mask.

Read A Book

Snuggle up with a book! Pour yourself a cup of tea and find a cozy nook. What’s a better time to get started on that reading list?

Stick To Set Mealtimes

I know, it’s easy to snack throughout the day and forget to have a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sticking to a routine with intentional mealtimes will help structure your days and give you a sense of normalcy.

Experiment With A New Makeup Look

I mean why not? Always wanted to try strobing? Now’s the time! Wanna try a new YouTube tutorial? Or even better…make your own tutorial! Get creative!

Create A Chore Schedule & Tidy Up

A clean space does wonders for your mental health! Make sure you’re not letting the dishes pile up and wipe down your counters, doorknobs, and surfaces throughout the day. A chore chart helps organize your cleaning and maintains a healthy schedule.

Re-Organize Your Cupboards

A messy cupboard or spice drawer is stressful. Try re-organizing your cupboards by color, style, type, or whatever is easiest for your cooking process. Everyone is different!

Make A Dance Party Playlist

Dance the blues away! Make a playlist of your favorite songs and just dance!

Limit Your Screen Time

Now, this might be a little more difficult, but try to limit your screen time! Not only will this help your mental health, but this will also help ease the strain on your eyes from looking at screens all day.

Try A New Recipe

Now’s the time! You are your own personal chef! Get creative with your cooking style and try something new. As much as you can, use whole foods that are good for you. Eating clean, healthy, regular meals is a form of self-care!

Light Candles & Make Dinner Feel Special

A little extra touch goes a long way. Light some candles, put on some mood music, and enjoy your meal. Don’t just settle down on your couch in front of Netflix every night, make the time to do something special for yourself!

Drink Lots of Water

This one is really important! Drinking water helps keep your system function at peak performance! Your skin will thank you.
