The Biggest Fall 2018 Hair Trends

Fall is here, and along with the #backtoschool wardrobe updates everyone is making (hey – non-students need a new outfit too!) comes a whole bevy of haircut trends for Fall 2018. Read on for the Bless Blog’s edit of the top 5 looks that you’ll start seeing everywhere!

Curtain Bangs

This French cool girl style is sweeping Instagram, and we can see why. Curtain Bangs are long, tapered bangs that work for just about every texture and length of hair. They’re ultra-flattering, ultra-feminine, and give your hair that je ne sais quois. Plus, they’re super versatile and easy to style, and because they’re long, you can skip a trim every once in a while. We won’t tell. The gorgeous French makeup artist Violette (@violette_fr) shows us how its done.

Jaw Length Cuts

Bob haircuts give your face instant definition (hello cheekbones and jawline!) and an effortless chicness. Super short bobs, jaw-length bobs and just-above-the-shoulder bobs feel effortless, versatile, and supercool. We love this short, curly crop on Sazan (@sazan)!

Blunt, Choppy Bangs

Blunt, textured bangs are super versatile and frame your face. Plus, they’re the perfect way to add some interest to a simple updo (like that every-day messy top-knot!). Shorter, choppier bangs open up your gorgeous face and let your features shine! We’re loving these blunt, piece-y bangs on Camila Coelho (@camilacoelho) by hair genius and stylist to the stars Jen Atkin.

 Soft, Loose Curls

A tumble of loose, lived-in curls will be the go-to curly look for Fall 2018. It’s all about laid back style, natural texture and easy glamour. Sazan has the most enviable natural curly texture – look at that bounce!

Mid Length Cuts

Mermaid lengths are gorgeous, but this fall more ladies are chopping off their lengths in favor of super healthy mid-length cuts. Shorter cuts bring more body and movement to your hair, and can help bring out your natural texture. If you feel your hair losing a little oomph, try chopping off a few inches. You might be surprised! Here’s Sazan sporting some bouncy, flippy layer in her mid-length cut.

The Shag

The 70s are back, baby! Or at least, the 70’s inspired shag. Think short, face-framing bangs, piece-y layers and lost of texture! This razor cut shag by @rachelsrad at Ceremony Salon is giving us some good vibrations!
