3 Gorgeous Holiday Glam Ideas To Try

The winter holidays are the most special time of the year, so why settle for boring old everyday makeup? Step out of your comfort zone and try a gorgeous new look that’s anything but ordinary. Read on for your holiday glam inspo!

Ombré Lip

Ombré lips are a fun take on the classic holiday red lip. Even better, it’s super easy to recreate for a night out! To achieve this look, use an angled brush to apply your darkest color on just the outer edges of your lips. The angled brush gives you precise application so you can define your cupids bow and get crisp lines without lipliner.

Next, swipe a bright pink shade on the center of your lips (we like the Ardell Hydra Lipstick in Slow Blow, featured in the May 2018 Bless Box) and gently blend the shades (but be careful not to rub or smoosh your lips together)! Keep the rest of your makeup simple so your lips can really shine. Finish your look with a few swipes of mascara and a touch of bronzer.

Holographic Flush

For an ethereal, supernaturally gorgeous glow, try an all-over holographic highlight look! Start with a solid base of foundation, and touch up with concealer (we like the Amazing Concealer from Amazing Cosmetics, featured in the August 2018 Bless Box!).

Saz Tip: Add a few drops of liquid highlight, like the Appeal Cosmetics Gold Highlighter Drops from the July 2018 Bless Box) to your foundation for a luminous finish.

Next, sweep on your favorite highlight over your cheekbones, blending from the apples of your cheeks all the way up to your temples. For a powder highlight in a flattering peach-gold tone, we love the Maybelline Facestudio Master Chrome Highlight, featured in the August 2017 Bless Box.

Then, use an eyeshadow brush to pack highlight on your lids, from the inner corners of your eyes to along your brow bones. Don’t forget to dust some highlight over your cupid’s bow and the tip of your nose! Finish off the look with a nude or beige lipstick, and a couple coats of Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara (featured in the April 2018 Bless Box).

Grown Up Glitter

Whoever said you can’t mix silver and gold metallics was mistaken. The proof? This ultra-glam 80’s inspired grown-up disco look. To create this look, start by applying an eyeshadow primer or glitter primer on your lid. Line your upper and lower lash lines with a black kajal liner and smoke the lines out with a smudge brush.

Next, pack on the glitter or glitter shadows! Start with a pearly white/silver shade on your inner corners, a silver-tone in the middle, and a darker gunmetal on the outer corners. Create an elongated cat-wing shape with the darkest color, and place the gold glitter shade just below your brow bones. For lips, keep ’em nude or a subtler look or go all out with a vampy matte red.
